Our story

1999

With the establishment by Mr. Olivo Foglieni, through a management buyout operation, of Stemin S.p.A. for the recovery and reuse of ferrous and non-ferrous scraps, The Fecs Group was founded.

2000

Radiatori 2000 Spa, for the production of de cast aluminium radiators, was founded.

2000

AS Metal Com S.r.l. was born in Bucharest, a 75% owned trading business in order to ensure a penetration base in a very large area in the post-Soviet market

2002

IMT Italia SPA was founded for the commercialization of aluminium ingots

2007

Radiatori 2000 spa launched on the market the “Ridea Heating Design” brand dedicated to design aluminium radiators

2011

A new business for the production of aluminium ingots unit was created within Radiatori 2000 spa.

2013

Stemin S.p.A. constituted Service Lazio S.r.l., located in a geographically strategic area. The reality is specialized in the recovery, recycling and enhancement of metal packaging.

2014

Ridea won the first international prize: the Red Dot Design Award’ with a model exposed in the Essen contemporary art museum (Gemrnay)

2014

Stemin Spa acquires the 20% of Aluminum Green S.p.A., a company specialized in the production of primary aluminum

2015

Radiatori 2000 S.p.A. acquires Al-Tech S.r.l., a company based in Porto Recanati with years of experience in the production of extruded aluminium radiators, the missing piece to complete the offered range of products

2016

A new industrial site is created, Coala, able to produce aluminium ingots from chippings thanks to an innovative and patented process.

2016

Radiatori 2000 SPA won the international prize “Red Dot Design Award’ for the launch of the firs design die cast radiator: OTTIMO

2019

The Fecs Group invests in Alta Irpinia.

Aluminum Italia opens its doors in Nusco, in the Asi industrial area, composed of 51% by the Fecs Group and 49% by Service & Trading.

2020

In the production site of Stemin S.p.A (Comun Nuovo, BG), a latest generation plant is installed for the recovery of so-called “fine” materials. Thanks to the new investment, Stemin S.p.a is able to separate metals with dimensions smaller than 8 mm.

Residues previously destined for disposal are thus separated and reused, redeveloping an additional 8,000 tons of raw material from waste.

2021

The FECS Group resists the pandemic and looks to the future by investing, in the year, about 10 million euros in energy and production efficiency through completely digitized systems in a 4.0 perspective.

2022

IMT Italia SpA was merged by incorporation into Stemin SpA. Thus was born a single industrial company with a turnover of about 200 million, 80,000 tons of secondary aluminum semi- finished products and 150 employees.

Stemin SpA becomes one of the largest operators in the Italian metallurgical sector
